Weekly Game Releases and More – News

Last week we had Gamercom 2014, lots of titles we announced along with the new Xbox One; see our last article. First up is PS4 exclusive Bloodborne, which is the unofficial sequel to the current gen Dark Souls. The unforgiving difficulty seems to be sticking around with more frustrating controller throwing moments. Next we have an age old classic seeking another chance at its original greatness, Mortal Kombat X. While it seems promising, once again, I will not hold my breath and expect it to be as fun as it was back on SNES.  Also another title, with yet another release is the Battlefield series, this one being titled Battlefield Hardline. Appears to be a positive sequel with the standard upgrades, better graphics, new story and such. Speaking of sequels, Metal Gear Solid will be releasing its newest game on the current gen with The Phantom Pain. Even though Metal Gear Solid 4 seemed to be the closer of the series, it should be interesting in how this one will pick up the story of Solid Snake. Ubisoft’s prized possession, Assassin’s Creed also has two planned games for the current gen. First up is AC: Unity that seems to follow the standard play as the assassin. The second one is about an assassin switching sides and is now a Templar. This title is called Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Out of the two, Rogue seems to be more interesting to me as the style of play with being different. Finally, we have the Borderlands Pre-Sequel, which is another title I will be waiting for.
