Infamous: Second Son
I had high hopes for Infamous: Second Son, as it was the reason I went ahead and purchased a PS4. I loved the first two titles in the series as I grew up reading comics and always loved super heroes and villians. The first two games starred Cole as the reluctant hero who got his powers by accident. The new hero, Delsin, embraces his new “gift”. He has the unique power of being able to absorb powers from other conduits. This leads to a versatile gameplay style with many different skills to keep it unique.
The first and the main power Delsin gets is smoke. Play wise this game plays the same as the first two titles. Using ranged attacks such as the fireball. Other things like the grenade return as well. The karma system also returns in which you can become the good hero save the city or the infamous villain who fights without mercy. The story is very well written and draws you in. Well worth every hour I have played in it.
The graphics on the next generation of system are amazing and show just how far things have come since the launch of the 360 and PS3.
Voice acting works like a charm, music always fits the tone of whats going on at the time.
If you have a PS4, this game is a must buy or rent. The story alone makes it worth playing through.
- Entertaining combat
- A story that sucks you in
- Lots of versatility
- Short, can be beaten in just few hours
