In case you began to doubt the existence of The Last Guardian, Sony made it loud and clear that it’s still being made by jump starting the conference with a gameplay demo and announcing a 2016 release.

Guerrilla Games then unveiled a fresh new IP called, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and gave us a first look by showing a amazing gameplay demo.

A new Hitman trailer debuted, while also detailing 6 additional contracts and access to the Beta, all exclusive to the Ps4.

Street Fighter V made an appearance noting an exclusive Beta beginning July 23rd.

More details were demonstrated with a No Man’s Sky live demo.  Creator Sean Murray boldly showcased what the game was capable of bring to the player.

  • The game’s universe is indescribably MASSIVE
  • He chose an undiscovered solar system among millions to explore live
  • Fully destructible environments
  • Sentinels arrive to protect planets
  • Beacons are used to upload discoveries

Media Molecule, the makers behind Little Big Planet revealed their new game, Dreams.  using the controller, players can shape the environment to the limits of the imagination.  Its truly a unique experience based on what was shown.

Indie game Firewatch will finally be coming to PS4 as well as Ronin, Eitr, Mother Russia Bleeds, and Crossing Souls.

Destiny debuted its next expansion titled, The Taken King, and arrives September 15, 2015.

More details on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate dropped, focusing on the twin sister Evie Frye as a playable character a well as the exclusive mission, Dreadful Crimes.

World of Final Fantasy, is a new game with an unorthodox art style of the adorable nature.

But nothing could have prepare anyone for what came next.  A Final Fantasy VII remake, yes, a REMAKE was officially unveiled!  It was a legendary announcement for sure!

Fans of the Shenmue series were also treated to a pleasant surprise as Shenmue III was announced as a Kickstarter project.

Soon to be out next week, a small scene from Arkham Knight was shown. Opening with the Joker’s cremation, then showing a cop being infected with Scarecrow’s fear toxin in the middle of a restaurant.  The Scarecrow Nightmare missions are exclusive to PS4.

Project Morpheus is focusing on more multiplayer experiences by showing a trailer for Rigs.

Come July, Playstation Vue is opening to more cities, and offering a type of a la carte cable service; users can build their own package.  Playstation Plus members will receive a discount on orders.

Partnering with Activison, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was officially revealed. Set in the year 2065, the futuristic gear enables multiplayer to be more fluid than ever before.  PS4 users will be the first to play all map packs, and have early access the Beta.

Star Wars is finally coming to Disney Infinity 3.0. A new playset called Rise Against the Empire will relive key moments in the original trilogy.  There will also be an exclusive PS4 starter set that will include Boba Fett!

More Star Wars: Battlefront made an appearance by stating there will be both solo and local co-op functionality. A demo of Survival mode was demonstrated in all it’s glory.

Uncharted4

Sony’s press conference wouldn’t be complete without showing Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.  After some technical difficulties, a gameplay demo premiered to close out the show.!

Overall a solid showing from Sony.  To be honest, I’m still reeling over  that Final Fantasy VII Remake news!
