Frozen 2 Review

There’s no argument that Disney’s Frozen is anything less than amazing! The visuals, the catchy songs (i hear your kids singing already), and the new, more mature storyline. It’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

The sisters, Anna and Elsa ( Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel) return in this installment older and wiser but equally as quirky. The writers clearly show the relationship Anna has with her only sister. Although she is the younger sister, she feels the need to protect Elsa! It’s funny because I also have an old sister and I am absolutely protective of her like Ana is with Elsa!

I am absolutely in love with the Northuldra tribe, they’re the native tribe from the forest! I love that they are basically the doubles/twins to Kristoff and Anna. It’s sweet to watch them interact with their counterparts.

While I did feel the music was mediocre compared to the original and the story/theme has matured, the man that stole my heart was OLAF! Olaf has the best one-liners, two liners, just the best role. Especially, when he took it upon himself to recap all of Frozen (the first movie) in basically a two and a half minutes monologue which was absolutely epic!

Additionally, the movie portrays him growing up and trying to understand what being an adult or older, is all about. I can definitely relate to this! I’m still trying to figure my life out.

There’s a specific scene in Frozen 2 that captures Anna going into a depressive state of mind and her fight to come it that I found to be beautifully executed, it allows it’s young audience to understand loss (as usual, Disney is infamous for this) and how to move forward.

The film also sets the groundwork for Frozen 3 because it’s quite obvious that the story between Anna and Kristoff isn’t over. Frozen 2 is definitely a hit, AGAIN!
