John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum Review

“He shot my dog.” “Trust me, I know what you mean.” Can I just start with the fact that THIS John Wick is possibly funnier and far more exhilarating than the last? John Wick 3 – Parabellum begins seconds after the last installment left off. The respected and feared Baba Yaga has been excommunicated from the secret society of assassins for violating New York’s Continental Hotel rules. Oh, trust me! John Wick: Chapter 3 is a carnival of carnage, with every known assassin wanting in on the action to fulfill the contract to get rid of John.

With this third movie we see exactly WHY it is that John is so respected and it goes beyond the LOVE he has for his wife, this film will give the audience more empathy to the point that it will have you rooting for the good guys the entire 2 hours and 23 minutes. The fighting sequences are spectacularly put together, with every moment leaving you wanting for more.

I cant neglect the fact that Halle Berry showed off in this movie with some obvious self performed stunts. I wouldn’t be surprised if she got a spin-off or her own story stemming out of the John Wick franchise. I also want to throw some kudos to ALL the bad ass dogs in the movie. I feel that in this chapter the writers, director, etc. wanted to emphasize on how amazing a non human companion can be and just give the audience the understanding that it was never “JUST A PUPPY” .

If you truly enjoyed the first two movies you will absolutely LOVE this one!!! I would even dare say that if it weren’t for Marvel’s Endgame, this would be the movie the year, no doubt about it.
