Underwater Review

I was a little reluctant to see anything with Kristen “no emotion ever” Stewart.  Now she’s making suspense films? Like, NO! But since this opportunity presented itself, watch I did. I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed THAT MUCH! I will give you some of my better moments vs my “really?” and let’s add some side-eye!

I liked that the film was relatively straight forward. I really anticipated the whole time there would be some sort of plot twist, but there wasn’t, and I kind of wish there would have been one or FIVE because a lot of the movie is really… FAR FETCHED. I am not saying it has to be true to the core! However, some logical sense would have been nice!

In my opinion, this movie was kind of a spin-off from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, King Kong, or even Godzilla!  Whis is funny because T.J. Miller’s character references 20,000 Leagues and that gave me a good chuckle.

Overall, I don’t know that I disliked the movie so much that I wouldn’t recommend it, but I was surprised because I thought I would dislike it MORE, and I didn’t.
