As someone who has attended a good share of film events and typically doesn’t delve into reviewing movie theaters, I couldn’t resist sharing my recent experience at Plant City Premiere Cinemas LUX 8 & Pizza Pub. It was my first time attending this theater, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of an extraordinary experience.
The occasion? An insider movie event for “The Garfield Movie”. This event was specifically and purposefully held for any and every member of the Insider Movie Club for Plant City Premiere Cinemas LUX 8 & Pizza Pub, and this felt VIP! As a young kid at heart and attending with my almost 4 year old, it was one of the best movie experiences I’ve had at the theater with my family. From start to finish, Plant City Premiere Cinemas pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable night for everyone in attendance.
Let’s begin with the themed food for the movie: as if the prospect of watching Garfield on the big screen wasn’t enticing enough, Plant City Premiere Cinemas took it up a notch by serving pizza, lasagna, bread sticks, and salad during the movie. Yes, you heard that right – we got to indulge in delicious Italian fare (provided by the local Hungry Howie’s) while enjoying the antics of everyone’s favorite lasagna-loving feline. It added an extra layer of enjoyment to the whole experience and made it feel like a true celebration.
“BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!” Just like a GREAT infomercial the treats didn’t stop there. Plant City Premiere Cinemas also provided goodie bags filled with surprises for the audience. It was a thoughtful gesture that put smiles on the recipient’s faces and enhanced the overall joyous atmosphere of the event.
At the time of the event there were limited-edition Garfield popcorn buckets available for purchase, these are a great addition for the fans. Not only was it a practical way to enjoy some popcorn during the movie, but it also served as a charming keepsake to remember the experience by. It’s those little touches that set Plant City Premiere Cinemas apart and made attending their event truly special.
What impressed me most about Plant City Premiere Cinemas was their commitment to giving back to the community. Throughout the event, they promoted an organization called Vet Tix, which secures tickets to various events for veterans and their families. It’s heartwarming to see any business using its platform to support such a worthy cause, and it speaks volumes about Plant City Premiere Cinemas’ values as a company.
In addition to supporting veterans, Plant City Premiere Cinemas also partnered with an adoption shelter called Rescue Pets of Florida to raise awareness about the importance of kitten adoptions and fostering. It’s initiatives like these that demonstrate Plant City Premiere Cinemas’ dedication to making a positive impact beyond the confines of the movie theater.
I can’t write this review without mentioning the popcorn. The self-serve popcorn station was a revelation. It’s a small detail, but it made a big difference in elevating the overall movie-watching experience. The General Manager, Marcus Beaufils was present on this day and provided a fun fact that the popcorn oil and butter is the same used at Disney World. I can’t attest to this, because I haven’t visited the mouse in MANY moons, but the popcorn compared to let’s say, AMC, is far better and more flavorful; I challenge a reader to let us know their feedback on the popcorn.
In conclusion, my first experience at Plant City Premiere Cinemas was nothing short of spectacular. The well managed insider movie event and thoughtful touches that included community initiatives; every aspect of this event was meticulously planned and executed to perfection. If you’re looking for a movie theater that goes above and beyond to provide an unforgettable experience, look no further than Plant City Premiere Cinemas.
