A farming moon is threatened by an evil empire that demands all the colony’s resources. They have two
choices: fight or starve. One of the farm hands, Kora, with a mysterious past must recruit an army to
stand with them.
What promised to be a Star Wars killer, ended up being a mess and mash up of several popular
franchises. Taking scenes and inspiration from such films: Star Wars, A Phantom Menace, Rise of
Skywalker, Attack of the Clones, Gladiator, Harry Potter, Mummy Returns, Tron, and The Inglorious
Bastards. The movie feels like an anthology compilation rather than a streamlined plot. The scenes feel
disjointed and inconsistent visually which is disappointing because at times that is Zack’s strength.
The action scenes relied heavily on slow motion and style over substance. The characters seemed like
they would have been interesting; however, the film does not take the time to flesh them out in spite of
the two hours and fourteen-minute runtime. The twist was predictable as the rag tag group seemed to
trust anyone in their quest to go against an empire.
Zack has already promised a three-hour rated R director’s cut which probably should have just been this
movie. It is on Netflix, so you don’t have to worry about spending money at the theatres.
