Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse brings the energy, action, and comedy to rival the original.
The second installment of this trilogy of the Miles Morales story picks up 16 months after the
destruction of the Alchmemax Collider. This time story begins with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time,
friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of
Spider-People, who are charged with protecting its very existence. However, when the heroes clash on how to
handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders. He must soon redefine what it
means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
The animation in Across the Spider-Verse is nothing short of spectacular. The visual style is unique,
combining traditional hand-drawn techniques with cutting-edge computer-generated animation. Each
Spider-Man’s dimension is distinct, offering a visual feast for the eyes as we explore different artistic
interpretations of the beloved character.

The actors bring their A-game, infusing the characters with depth and personality. Whether it’s the
young and determined Miles Morales (Shameilk Moore), the confident Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), or
the charismatic Peter B Parker (Jake Johnson), each Spider-Man is brought to life with authenticity and
charm. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the humor shines through, providing a
a constant stream of laughs.
If there’s one minor drawback to the film it would be the runtime. Clocking in at 2 hours and 40 minutes,
the film starts off slow but picks up steam once the team is in the Spider-Verse. However, this is a minor
quibble in an awesome cinematic experience.
Overall, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse gives the fan and the moviegoers what they want. A fun
action-comedy comic book story with great visuals, a great cast, and the perfect setup for the next
chapter of the series.
